My Philosophy

Practicing medicine within the corporate medicine model for the past 15 years, I grew increasingly frustrated and defeated. I could no longer continue with the ‘complaint-focused’ approach, with visits limited to addressing one or two problems, and churning patients like cattle. It felt so wrong and upsetting that my professional success was measured by the number of patients I could see in an hour, and how sick they were, rather than the quality of care I provided. I knew I couldn’t continue practicing in a system that prioritized volume over meaningful, holistic patient care.

I felt depleted by doing what I wanted to do most — spend time with my patients and address the root cause of their issues, while helping them THRIVE, from the inside out. This is why I went into family medicine, and this is what drives me to continue practicing medicine.

No insurance companies in the way, dictating what can and cannot be done. No red tape. No hidden costs or surprise billing. Simple and transparent.

We cannot ignore that we need to address the WHOLE person (mind, body, and spirit). Health is more than the absence of disease; it is a state of optimal physical, emotional and social well-being.

I am committed to comprehensive, evidence-based standard of care, but open-minded and thoughtful. Not time restricted. Open to questions and guided by the question WHY? WHY are we sick? Not just what medication should we prescribe. The doctor patient relationship is therapeutic for both parties, and we can learn from each other.
